James L. Bier, Jr. 85, of Virginia St., Martins Ferry, OH died Friday, Mar. 2, 2007 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born Feb. 17, 1922 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late James L. and Edna E. (Chapline) Bier. He was retired from Oglebay Park, Wheeling, WV and a veteran of the U.S. Army WW II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Alice T. (Edwards) Bier, three sisters Elizabeth Boger, Wilma Monahan and Virginia Jaynes. Surviving are his wife Dolores (Zaydel) Bier, three daughters Mary Alice Goode of Cotton Valley, LA, Patricia Ann Danver of Margate, Fl, and Dini McGlothlin of Martins Ferry, a son Gerald Tutolo of Lower Burrell, PA,a brother Morgan Bier of Wheeling, four sisters Alice Bruhn, and Mary Jones both of Wheeling, Carol Jobes of Cocoa Beach, FL and Mina Doty of McMurray, PA, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Holly Memorial Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove, OH. with Rev. William O. Webster officiating.
