James R. Duffey Sr. 73 of Moores Run Road Bellaire, died Wednesday November 3, 2010 in Belmont Community Hospital Bellaire. He was born November 17, 1936 in Bellaire, a son of the late George and Isa Duffey. He was a retired employee of H.E. Neumann Co. Wheeling, a member of the 1st United Methodist Church Kirkwood, a veteran of the US Navy, Past Fire Chief for the West Wheeling Fire Dept. a past president of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #83. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Shirley and Grace. Jim is survived by his wife Gloria Rafeldt Duffey, a son James R. Duffey Jr. (Gina) of Dublin, two daughters Cynthia Smith (Douglas) of Lancaster, Barbara Zani (Carl) of Marysville, three sisters Betty Schoolcraft of Marietta, Charlotte Myers of Bethesda, Carol Roush (Robert) of South Dakota, a brother George Duffey of Marietta, four grandchildren Catlin Smith, Courtney and Ashley Zani, and Thomas Duffey. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside Friday November 5, 2010 from 12 -2 and 4-6, where services will be held Saturday at 11 am with Rev. Julianne Gebbie officiating. Interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
