James C. Ellis, Jr., 68, of S. 3rd. St., Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., Jan. 23, 2006 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born June 13, 1937 in Martins Ferry a son of the late James C. and Margaret E. (Evans) Ellis, Sr. He worked for the former Picoma Industries and Elby's Family Restaurant both of Martins Ferry and was a Presbyterian. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother Violet (Talarico) Ellis, a brother William L. Ellis, and two sisters Deborah Jackson and Marion Pernick. Surviving are a daughter Jamie Ellis Carver of Tenn., two sons James C. Ellis, III of Tenn. and James Starr of Alabama, a grandson Matthew Carver, two brothers Robert (Mary) Ellis of Martins Ferry, and Kenneth Ellis of Wheeling, four sisters Violet Roskovich of Rayland, Sandy (Bill) Spinetti and Barbara (John) Burch both of Martins Ferry, and Rebecca Truax of Colerain, an aunt Jackie Mozie of Shadyside, several nieces and nephews, and Elaine Ellis Stinnett of Tenn. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. William O. Webster officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH.
