James Paul Hanlin, 79, of Bellaire, passed away on December 12, 2010 at OVMC, Wheeling, W.Va. He was born on December 7, 1931 to Elza and Blanche (Jones) Hanlin at Rayland, OH. James worked as a Crane operator for Weirton Steel Corp., and was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. James is survived by sons: Paul J. Hanlin of Bellaire, OH, John W. Hanlin of Steubenville, OH, James R. Hanlin of New Alexandria, OH, Rickey A. Hanlin of Martins Ferry, OH, Greg A. Hanlin of Bellaire, OH, William P. Hanlin of Steubenville, OH, daughters, Henrietta L. Hall of Bellaire, OH, Linda L. Gardner of Brilliant, OH, Darlene A. Muze of Bellaire, OH, Carla S. Stewart of Bellaire, OH; brothers, John Hanlin, Donald Hanlin, 2sisters, JoAnn Wilson, and, Mary Lou Callaway, grandchildren, 21, great grandchildren, 22 . He was preceded in death by parents, Elza Buck and Blanche Jones Hanlin, a son, Dana A. Hanlin, a daughter, Violet M. Hanlin, brothers, Robert Hanlin, Martin Hanlin, Bill Hanlin, Eugene Hanlin, sister, Thelma Abshire, first wife, Lillian Orsan Hanlin, second wife, Carlan Taylor Hall. Friends will be received Thursday, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio, where services will be held Friday, December 17, 2010, 11:00 AM with Military Honors provided by Yorkville VFW.
