James P. Kindberg, Sr., 49, of N. 5th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Sept. 15, 2004 at home. He was born Oct. 13, 1954 a son of the late Karl W. and Betty M. (Danver) Kindberg, Sr. Jim was a tow truck operator for Bill's Towing Service of Bridgeport. He was also an avid Martins Ferry High School Purple Rider fan having worked for many years with the sideline crews at home football games. Surviving are his wife Maretta I. (Ryan) Kindberg, a son James P. Kindberg, Jr. and his wife Trisha of Martins Ferry, a daughter Stacy Dagan and her husband Brian of Martins Ferry, a brother Karl W. "Bill" Kindberg, Jr. and his wife Judy, and two sisters Peggy Denard and her husband Michael and Mary Beth Sells and her husband William all of Martins Ferry, and two grandsons Brandon and Josh Dagan. Friends will be received Fri. 2-6 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat., Sept. 18, 2004 at 10:00 AM with Minister Terry Erwin officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
