JAMES C. LUCKETT, SR., 72, of Bridgeport, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born December 14, 1936 in Wheeling, the son of the late John and Blanche (Mills) Luckett. James worked for Marx Toys in Glendale as a bookkeeper for 24 years and retired as a security guard with Shields Security in St. Clairsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Martha Luckett and Barbara Miller. James is survived by two sons James, Jr. of Martins Ferry and John of Bridgeport; five daughters Patricia Orum of Moundsville, Karen Fry of Masury, OH, Jamie Leach of Wheeling, Jennifer Parsons of Brookside and Jean Hails of Martins Ferry; a brother William Luckett of Bridgeport; two sisters Connie McDonald and Lena Hughes both of Washington, PA; as well as many grand and great grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend visitation Monday from 2 pm until the time of the funeral services at 4 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, with Reverend James Hoff officiating. Interment will be private at Washington Cemetery, Washington, PA.
