James Walter MacNealy, Sr. of Bethesda passed away on December 1, 2023.  He was born in Newark, Ohio to the late Walter and Gladys MacNealy.

James retired from trucking.  He loved country music and dancing.  He enjoyed cutting firewood, keeping his yard nice, and camping.  James was a kind man who loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James MacNealy, Jr and sister, Mary Sue MacNealy.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister Joan Kardos and his daughters, Wini Carter & Kathy (Jim) Spicer; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and his dog, Roxy, who he loved dearly.

In keeping with James' wishes, there will be no services.  Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio 43719 is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, his favorite place to donate, he was recognized for his outstanding support there.
