James C. Mayhugh, 68, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at home. He was born August 21, 1949 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Earl and Dorothy (Phillips) Mayhugh.
Jim was retired from the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a member of the First Christian Church and American Legion Post #38 both of Martins Ferry and the Indian Club and V.F.W Post 4811 both of Yorkville, OH. He enjoyed playing golf and driving his Corvette. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife, Terri (Gwynne) Mayhugh, his son, Michael J. (Cara) Mayhugh of Dublin, OH, a brother, Robert (Linda) Mayhugh of Yorkville and a sister, Hope Ann (Thomas) Magnone of Middletown, OH.
Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St,, Martins Ferry, OH, Sunday, 5-8 pm and Monday, September 18, 2017, from 10 am until time of the funeral service at 11:00 am with Minister Rod Kasler officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH.
Military honors will be presented by the Belmont County Veteran's Assoc. Monday at 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
