James F. McDevitt 71 of Mt. Pleasant died Monday October 23, 2017 at his home. He was born February 14, 1946 I Wheeling, a son of the late Ross J. and Helen (Hoppel) McDevitt.

He was a retire employee of Conrail/ Norfolk & Western Railroad, a longtime Owner of the former Jim's Train Shop in Mt. Pleasant and St. Clairsville, a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army, a member of the McCook Post #527 of the American Legion Dillonvale, a member of Dillionvale Fire Dept., and Assistant Fire Chief for Mt. Pleasant Fire Dept.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra (Hennebert) McDevitt.

Jim is survived by his children James "JR" McDevitt, and Candie (Tony J.) Panepucci both of Mt. Pleasant, three grandchildren, Tony J. II, Brandon, and Kristen, also his Beloved Rottweiler "O'Neal".

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral 154 Second St. Dillonvale on Thursday October 26, 2017 from 3-7 pm with funeral services to be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the McCook Post of the American Legion on Thursday at 6:45 pm at the Funeral Home.
