JAMES M. MOUNSEY, 76, of Martins Ferry, died Saturday, December 26, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born June 16, 1933 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Wilbur and Jeanette (Merryman) Mounsey. Jim was a retired bolter with the Consol Coal Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Donna Jo Mounsey and Melvin Paul Mounsey; as well as two sisters. Jim is survived by his lovely wife, Glenda Mounsey; six sons, James, Jr., Gary and Daniel Mounsey, and William, Corey and John Stevey; five daughters Sandy Jennings, Debbie Palmer, Judy Hollingstead, Jeanie Kern and Sharon Edmund; a brother George Mounsey; an aunt Kitty Coppel; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were private at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
