James F. Neal, Sr., 89, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at his residence. He was born July 17, 1923 in Martins Ferry a son of the late James F. Neal and Margaret L. (Cox) Neal Jepson. Jim retired from R & F Coal Co. He was a lifetime member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Madelyn Neal. Surviving are two sons; James F. (Annette) Neal, Jr. of San Diego, CA and Bruce A. Neal of Tampa, FL, two daughters; Linda (Ron) Chancey of Nashville, TN and Judith A. (Paul O'Hagan) Neal of London, England, three grandchildren; Heather and April Neal and Micha (Jeremiah) Bietz and a great grandchild Raegan Bietz. Private graveside services and burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Arrangements by Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH.
