James Earl Offord, 76 of Bridgeport passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Wheeling Hospital. He was born July 31, 1945, in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Raymond E. and Edith (Henthorne) Offord.

James was a retired Lineman for AEP, a member of the AFLCIO-CLF, American Legion of Bridgeport, Sons of Italy in Bellaire, and a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army.

He was Methodist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Edward, and Samuel Offord.

James is survived by his lifelong partner and love of his life Carole Benge, sons, Craig (Amy) Offord of North Carolina, David (Irene) Offord of Nevada, Scott (Deborah) Benge of Texas and Justan Benge of Bridgeport and his ex-wife Judith (Reese) Rosato.

According to James' wishes, all services will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside is assisting the family.
