James A. Orr, 63, of Waynesville, OH, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010 at the VA Medical Center, Dayton, OH. He was born February 16, 1947 in Canonsburg, PA. the son of the late Paul E. and Anna C. (Johnston) Orr. He retired as a graphic designer for Weirton Steel. Jim was a member of the Vigilant Engine Co. of the Martins Ferry Fire Dept. He was also a trustee and treasurer of the former Martins Ferry Eagles and a veteran of the US Air Force. Surviving are his wife Suzy (Burch) Moore Orr, two daughters Cindy (Tyler) Youtzy of Blacklick, OH and Jamie (Doug) Beery of Massillon, OH, two step-daughters Judy Moore Johnson of Waynesville, OH and Jody Moore of Indianapolis, IN, a sister Barbara (Don) Wensyel of Martins Ferry, six grandchildren Emma and Gracie Youtzy, Kayla and Kent Beery, and April and Heather Johnson, nieces and nephews, Laurie (Patrick) Henry, Jason (Erica) Wensyel, and Ashley Wensyel. Friends will be received Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held, Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Martins Ferry Fire Dept. services will be held Wednesday at 7 pm in the funeral home. Full military honors will be presented by the Belmont Co. Council of the VFW prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the VA Medical Center, 4100 W. 3rd.
