James (Randy)
Randolf Yoho
July 25, 1951 – January 30, 2022
James Randolf Yoho. But if you knew him, you knew him as "Randy."
He was born on July 25, 1951, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. And he left us on January 30, 2022.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Jeanne Yoho and his younger brother, Rich Yoho.
His living relatives include Brothers, Charles and William Yoho and Sisters, Carolyn Yoho (Hootman) and Bizzie Yoho (Vunderink). His nieces include Amanda Kutay, Jennifer Krukas, Heather Alvelo and Rebecca Smith. And his nephews include Jude Kutay, Jonathan and Chuck Hootman, Chuck Yoho, Rob Yoho and Mike and Bill Yoho. There are also a large number of great nieces and nephews, and his best friend, his dog, Molly.
Randy attended Ohio State University and Ohio University and received a master's degree in psychology. He was an Adjunct Professor of psychology at both Belmont College and at Eastern Gateway Community College. He recently retired from teaching.
After graduating from Dillonvale High School, Randy joined the U.S. Army in 1971. He did a tour of duty in Vietnam where he was exposed to Agent Orange that later affected his health. He was honorably discharged in 1977. He was a member of the American Legion Post #34 in Cadiz. Every year he proudly attended the Martins Ferry High School's Veterans Day Assembly at the invitation of his nephew, Jude.
That is some of what Randy did. But what he was… was a good son, a good brother, a good uncle, and a good friend. He was very sociable. He had a good sense of humor and he listened when somebody told him something and helped where he could. He loved Ohio State, the Browns, and the Steelers Football teams. He also loved the Blues Festival in Wheeling, landscaping in his yard and parties with family and friends and Molly. Recently we celebrated his 70th birthday with him. He will be missed.
The family asks that in place of flowers donations may be made in memory of Randy Yoho and sent to The American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Friend will be received Monday, February 7, 2022, from 4-7 at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale. Military Honors will be conducted by the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529 at 7:00pm, funeral services to follow with Rev. James Monogioudis officiating.
