Riley, James Michael, 77, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, formerly of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Sunday January 23, 2011 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. He was born in Wheeling on October 20, 1933, a son of the late James A. and Zella West Riley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jessica Thompson. James was a member of St. Mary's Catholic, St. Clairsville, Past member of the Board of Trustees at Belmont Technical College; Current Board of Trustees of Belmont Technical Foundation; Diocese of Steubenville Finance Council; St. Clairsville Knights of Columbus; 45 years as CPA private practice; employed by the CPA firm of Seachrist, Kennon and Marling, former member of Kiwanis and past president of Rotary Club; Member of Stone Chimney Club, recipient of the Heritage Tree Award of Belmont Technical College; a member of Sons of Italy; Paul Harris Fellow Award recipient and past president of Rotary Club; 2008 awarded St. Joseph Central School Distinguished Graduate Award. James is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Lucille (Petrozzi) Riley; three daughters: Stephanie (Bruce) Thompson of Wheeling; Marianne (Sean) Doyle of St. Clairsville, Denise (Todd) Spitler of Findlay, Ohio; a son, James A. (Maryjane) Riley of Hilliard, Ohio; two brothers: Richard (Betty) Riley of Bridgeport, Robert (Louise) Riley of Steubenville; two sisters: Mary Ann (Bill) Paravano of Cleveland, Ohio and Jean Marie DeGenova of Shadyside, Ohio; grandchildren: Ashley (John) Lemal; Megan Thompson; Abigail & Jacob Spitler; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Friends will be received Wednesday 12-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio where vigil service will be held at 3:45 p.m. and Sons of Italy Ritual at 7:00 p.m. and the K of C Rosary services will be said at 8 p.m. Friends will then be received Thursday January 27, 2011 from 9 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church St. Clairsville, with Reverend Thomas Chillog, as celebrant.
