James Eric Sabol, 72 of Scio, Ohio formerly of Mingo Junction passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in Allegheny General Hospital.  He was born September 28, 1950, in Steubenville, the son of the late James M. and Lillian (Munis) Sabol.

James was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company and the Harrison County Rural Transit Authority, Catholic by faith a former member of St. Agnes, Mingo Junction, and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was a man of many talents and interests, including hiking, camping, driving, fishing, biking, and many outdoor activities.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Deborah (Hicks) Sabol, daughter, Suzanne (Ross) Mikos of Columbus, son, Michael (Jamie) Sabol of Scio, grandchildren, Rebecca, David and Joseph Sabol, Scarlett Mikos, siblings, Joyce Berardi, Thomas (Karen) Sabol, Melanie (Dave) Decker and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In keeping with James' wishes all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Wilson Funeral Home – Blaschalk Chapel, 115 Union St., Mingo Junction, OH is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave., Unit 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 in memory of James E. Sabol.
