James Sockman, Sr., 73, of Holloway, OH died Fri, Jul. 22, 2005 at home. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Jean (Vought) Sockman, a son Jay Sockman and two brothers Francis and Thomas Sockman. Surviving are a daughter Nora (Danny) Watson of Martins Ferry, four sons James, Jr., Charles, and Michael Sockman all of Holloway and Raymond (Diana) Sockman of Bridgeport, a brother William Sockman of Martins Ferry, three sisters Mildred Schmidt and Geraldine Paul both of Martins Ferry, and Hazel Morrison of Colerain, six grandchildren Ben, Chris, Ray, Michelle, Charles, Tabbatha and two great grandchildren Corbin and Stephaine. Friends are invited to attend graveside services Mon., Jul. 25, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH where Rev. William Webster will officiate.
