James Lee Vereb, 65 of Wheeling died Saturday July 8, 2017 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born September 3, 1951 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late James and Dorothy (Theiss) Vereb Collette.

He was a retired body man and painter for Sam Yanen's Ford Dealership in Moundsville, a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Wheeling, and the West Virginia Association for the deaf.

Jim is survived by his siblings Dennis Vereb and Frank Mora both of FL, Denice (Doug) Hoffman of Newbern, NC, Cindy (Jim) Koehler, and Deborah Conway both of Wheeling, Karen (Tyler) Hayes of Cape Cod, MA, and Sharon (Jim) Whitfield of McMechen, also several nieces and nephews.

According to Jim's wishes there will no visitation and a private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Virginia Association for the Deaf.
