James R. Wagner, 71, of Bridgeport, OH died April 15, 2018 at Belmont Community Hospital.  He was born August 18, 1946, in Zanesville, OH, a son of the late James Wagner and Vivian (Klingler) Wagner Newton.  He was an artist, painter, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a life-time member of the DAV, and a U.S. Army Veteran.  James is survived by his children, Melinda Wagner of Columbus, Chad Wagner of California, Shelly Wagner of Columbus; siblings, Jerry (Ethel) Lewis of Nashport, OH, John Wagner of Roseville, OH, Tamala (Mike) Corbin of Zanesville, OH; and two grandchildren.  Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, Bridgeport, OH.  To offer online condolences visit wilsonfuneralhomes.com.
