Jane E. (Thiel) Boddorf, 93, of Washington, PA, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Monday, March 4, 2019 at Canonsburg Hospital, Canonsburg, PA. She was born December 19 1925 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late John L. and Flora F. (Helling) Thiel.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Laird E. Boddorf, her grandson, Michael C. Polatas and her sister, Emily Schmelter.

Jane was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry. She enjoyed camping, boating, cruises, family gatherings, bridge with friends, and adult coloring books and reading.

Jane will be remembered with love by her three children; Alan (Phyllis) Boddorf of Austin, TX, Judy (Joe) Sarver of Washington, PA, and Carol (Steve) Polatas of North Canton, OH, her ten grandchildren; Danielle (Justin) Sarver-Pinkerton, Janine (Eric) Dyson, Sara, Casey, Matthew, and Tessa Polatas, Tyler and Austin Boddorf, Meghan (Cody) Irby and Haley (Scott) McKissack, two great grandchildren; Ryal McKissack and Wyatt Irby, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. where a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held with Rev. Robert Grewe officiating. Burial service will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
