Janet Lynn Elerick, 58, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2026, beside her family in Port Charlotte. She was born July 25, 1967, in Martins Ferry, OH, a daughter of the late James and Betty Lee (Riebold) McAninch. Janet was Christian by faith, and enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and was an avid animal lover.

She is survived by her longtime partner, Kevin Holmes; son, Jacob McCue; daughter, Shawn Hillyard (James Needham); a sister, Judy Mitchell; a brother, James McAninch; and five grandchildren, Isabella, Isaac, Israel, Ireland, and Milah McCue.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Robert Charlton.

Friends may call Monday from 11 am to 1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Carpino officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
