JANET H. SUCHY, 91, of Lansing, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born May 27, 1916 in Lonaconing, MD, the daughter of the late William and Bessie (Sexton) Barclay. Janet was the former cook/manager of the Lansing Elementary School Cafeteria and was the former Director of the Senior Center in St. Clairsville. She was a member of the Lansing United Methodist Church; the Hermion Temple #1 Pythian Sisters and the Daughters of America. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Suchy; a daughter Rebecca ""Becky"" Suchy; and five sisters Amelia Jane Barclay, Eva Yost, Beatrice Otte, Wilma Brykalski and Martha Highfill. Janet is survived by a sister Esther Barclay of Lansing as well many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday 12 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Monday at 1 pm with the Reverend Lisa Boulton, Reverends Donald and Karen Upson, and Reverend William Alvey officiating. Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lansing United Methodist Church or the Wolfhurst VFD.
