Obituary

Janet L. Vitchner, 67, of Martins Ferry, OH died January 22, 2018 at her home. She was born September 13, 1951, in Martins Ferry, OH a daughter of the late Henry and Anna Mae (Mours) Kozel. She was retired from EORH where she worked for 35 years. She was an RN in the ICU, and worked in Cardiac Rehab. Janet was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Ann Reckner. Janet is survived by her loving husband, William P. Vitchner; children, Nathan and Kaitlin Vitchner of Martins Ferry; siblings, John M. Kozel of Bridgeport, OH, Jackie Kozel of Raleigh, N.C., Julia (Dean) Parker of Centerville, OH; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces. Friends will be received Friday, January 26 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH 43912. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 27th at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurst with Fr. John Mucha serving as celebrant. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
