Jason E. Webster, 86, of Barnesville, OH, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born December 31, 1927 in Holloway, OH, son of the late Charles K. Webster and Carrie L. Rhodes Webster.
A devoted husband and father, Jason was a member of the United Methodist Church in Holloway, a former employee with B & O Railroad, and was a retired supervisor from Hanna/Consol Energy. He was a lifelong member and multi time president of Holloway Old-timers Baseball Club and member, as well as an executive committee member, of the Ohio Baseball Hall of Fame. A past member, Master, and secretary of the Masonic Lodge 298 in Flushing, Jason also served as a member of the Cambridge Shriners Club, Holloway VFD, and was an Honoree of the Ohio Valley Dapper Dan Club. He was a member of the American Legion, St. Clairsville VFW, and was a World War II Veteran, proudly serving his country in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ann Pozza Webster; brother, Kenneth Webster; sisters, Irene VanCuren and Nellie Cordner.
Jason is survived by his sons, Michael W. Webster of Wheeling, WV and Donald E. (Mariann) Webster of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren, Michael A. (Suzanna) Webster, Angela M. Webster, Nathaniel E. (Sarah) Webster, Gregory A. Webster; brother, Charles P. (Sandra) Webster of Philadelphia, PA.
Family and friends will be welcome to visit, Monday from 4 to 9 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, OH where the service will be conducted, Tuesday 11 a.m. Pastor Bob Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing, Ohio where Military Honors will be conducted by Belmont County Veterans' Association.
A Masonic Service will be conducted by Flushing Lodge 298, Monday 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
