Emerald H." Jay" Delbrugge III, 50 of Martins Ferry, Ohio went to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 31, 2024, while comforted by his family at Liza's place in Wheeling, WV.  He was born September 2, 1973, at Martins Ferry Hospital, the son of the late Emerald H. Delbrugge, Jr and late Cherly D. and David A. Horne, Sr.  He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Jay achieved what many would call a triple crown of Ohio valley industry working for the Railroad, Steel Mill and Coal Mine.  However, he worked the last 8 years for and with Andy Dietch stating "best job" because of their relationship.

Jay enjoyed all things common to man…motorcross racing, cars, guns and the like.  His most important achievement and love is summed up in Caitlyn "Catie bug."  Jay will be missed and remembered by his daughter and son-in-law Caitlyn and Kohl Joseph, sisters Tina M. Fedorko, Tammy (Adam)Mitchell, his dog Snickers, family, and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 2-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio 43912, with the funeral service at 7pm in the funeral home, with Elder Adam Mitchell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Jay to Liza's Place or Valley Hospice, 10686 St. Rt. 150, Rayland, Ohio 43943.
