Jean R. (Mauk) Dudzik, 78, of Cemetery Rd., Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, Mar. 13, 2007 at home. She was born Nov. 17, 1928 in Cleveland, OH a daughter of the late James and Louise (Riker) Mauk. She was a retired registered nurse having graduated from the Ruth Brant School of Nursing in 1950. Jean was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Catholic Womens Club, Polish National Alliance, and the former V.F.W. #3613 Auxiliary all of Martins Ferry. She was a volunteer for Valley Hospice and Crisis Hotline both of Wheeling, and was a former Brownie Girl Scout Leader. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Dudzik and a daughter Paula Dudzik. Surviving are two sons Tom (Cindy) Dudzik of Martins Ferry, and Ed (Ronda) Dudzik of Adena, OH, a daughter Barbara (Lee) Zonker of St. Clairsville, OH, three sisters Barbara Wadja of Lakeland, FL, Maxine (Tom) Reisinger of Kinsman, OH, Darlene (Jim) Terchilla of Jamestown, PA, two brothers James (Marge) Mauk of Kinsman, OH, and Bob (Dolores) Mauk of Niles, OH, a sister-in-law Estella Pajunen of Martins Ferry, and four grandchildren Veronica and Chuck Zonker, and Justin and Joshua Dudzik, and her good canine friend Sandy. Friends will be received Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Mar.17, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Rosary devotions will be recited Friday at 3:00 PM in the funeral home.
