Jean K. Morris 93, of Carroll, Ohio formerly of Brookside, died Friday July 7, 2017 at the home of her son peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born September 19, 1923 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Waggner) Wiser.

Jean was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Bridgeport, and Pope John XXIII Catholic Church Lithopolis, Ohio. She retired from Hart's Big Bear Dept. Store with 25 years of service, she was a member of OPALS, Keen Agers, and she loved bowling at Park Legion Lanes Martins Ferry and senior bowling at St. Clairsville Lanes. She was a member of the poker club for 50 years, and was a bartender at the Nugget Lounge in Bridgeport.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph H. Morris in 1968, a brothers William Wiser and Joseph Wiser, and a grandson Brian Henke Hicks.

Jean is survived by her children Terry (Theresa) Morris of Carroll, Ohio, Suzan (Mike) Markus of Pleasant Gove, and Kathy Hicks of Magnolia, TX, and a sister Peggy Mihelarakis of Pleasant Grove, 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandaughter.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Wednesday July 12, 2017 from 2-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church Bridgeport with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant, wake service will be said on Wednesday at 2pm followed by rosary at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery Blaine. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to FairHoPe Hospice 282 Sells Road Lancaster, Ohio 43930.
