Jeanann Vickers, 91, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Oct. 22, 1923 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Howard M. Vickers, Sr. and Lilian (Cobb) Vickers. After graduating from Martins Ferry High School Class of 1941 Jeanann attended the Elliott School of Business. She began her career with the Telephone Co. and retired as a secretary from Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel, Wheeling Office. Jeanann was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and past member of Gamma Chapter Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Howard M. Vickers, Jr. and her sister, Betty Ellen Clark. Surviving are her brother, Barrie A. Vickers of Martins Ferry. Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Sunday, 12-3 & 6-8 pm where services will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 10:00 am with Rev David Stammerjohn officiating. Burial follows in Longview Cemetery, New Athens, OH. Gamma Chapter Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority services will be Sunday at 7 pm followed by Deacons of First Presbyterian Church services at 7:15 pm both in the funeral home.
