Jeanne J. Hines, 94, of Barnesville, Ohio, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord, Monday, February 1, 2016 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. She was born May 2, 1921 in Barnesville, Ohio, daughter of the late George M. Hines and Elizabeth L. Newhardt Hines. A retired teacher from the Canton Public School System after 35 years of service, Jeanne served as a deacon at The First Presbyterian Church of Barnesville, volunteered at the Barnesville Hospital and St. Vincent DePaul Society. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling throughout the world. She was enthusiastic and very full of life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Olga Wallace, Catherine Hines and brothers, Walter, Charles, Stewart, James, and Lester Hines. Jeanne is survived by her nieces, Mary (Frank) Williams and Joan Pickens, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday from 2 p.m., until the time of service beginning at 5 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Reverends Andy Woods and Samuel Monte officiating. Interment for Jeanne will be private and at the convenience of her family.
