Jeffrey J. Helmbright "Dawg", 48, of Harrisville, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, August 22, 2020.  He was born on November 16, 1971 in Wheeling a son of Sally (Denger) Helmbright and the late, Joseph Helmbright.  Jeff was employed by the Belmont County Correctional Institution, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is survived by his mother, Sarah "Sally" Helmbright of Harrisville; 3 sisters, Jamie Gump of Adena, Judith Lude of Martins Ferry and Jacqueline Merrill of Windham, ME; a brother, Jim Helmbright Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Victoria "Tori" Helmbright of Martins Ferry; his loyal dog, Cain; female companion, Shawn Latham; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and close friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, William and Marguerite Helmbright; maternal grandparents, William and Pauline Denger and a brother, Jerald "Butch" Helmbright.

Friends may call Friday from 12-4 and 6-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday at 4 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Ken Staley officiating.
