Jerry A. Conway, 65, of Jefferson St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Sept. 4, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. He was born Feb. 1, 1939 in Short Creek, WV a son of the late Samuel L. and Florence M. (Miller) Conway. He was retired from the former Imperial Clevite, Lansing, OH, a Baptist by faith, a member of American Legion Post # 38 of Martins Ferry, and a veteran of the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Robert , David and Richard Conway and two sisters Linda Steiner and Joyce Hersey. Surviving are his wife Rosemary (Harris) Conway, two sons Michael Conway and his companion Amy of Bellaire, Mark Conway and his companion Wendy of Sunset Heights, a daughter Theresa Porreca and her husband Jeff of Martins Ferry, four brothers Charles Conway and his wife Mary Ellen of Martins Ferry, Jack Conway of FL, Steven Conway of CA, and Thomas Conway and his wife Deb of Wheeling, three sisters Carol (Sue) Bluthardt and her husband Tom of Bellaire, Patricia Sproul and her husband Charles of St. Clairsville and Deborah Wells and her husband Tom of MI and eight grandchildren. Friends will be received Mon 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tues, Sept. 7, 2004 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Terry Erwin officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH with full military graveside honors by the Belmont County Council of the American Legion.
