JERRY L. GRETZ, 69, of Wheeling, died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Oakland VA Hospital in Oakland, PA.He was born March 9, 1941 in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Isadore J. and Beatrice (Yusavage) Gretz. Jerry was a member of the United States Army, serving his country proudly as a member of the Military Police while stationed in Manheim, Germany.In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Josephine Yusavage; a sister in-law, Sheila Gretz; and a brother in-law, James Matthews.Jerry is survived by a daughter, Katlyn Jo Gretz of Ocala, FL and her mother, Robin Seidel; three brothers, James of Wheeling; Edward and his wife Cecelia of Wheeling, and George of Rockville, MD; three sisters, Mildred "Millie" Matthews of Wheeling, Rosemary Rockwell of Sun City, AZ, and Connie Smith of Milford, DE.Friends are invited to attend graveside services Wednesday at 11 am at Linwood Cemetery in Blaine, Ohio with Pastor April Forkey officiating, followed by full military services being conducted by the Belmont County Council of the American Legion.
