Jo Elaine Smith, 73, of Arlington, VA formerly of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 in the Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington.  She was born in Martins Ferry on January 11, 1948 a daughter of the late Lawrence and Evelyn (Raies) Tuttle.  She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Washington DC worked for many years for financial institutions in customer service, enjoyed spending time with family and friends and reading.

Jo is survived by a daughter, Holly Smith; 2 sons, Michael Smith and David (Misty) Smith; a brother, Patrick Tuttle (Sabrina); 2 sisters, Pamela (Scott) Loftis and Dianne Tuttle; a granddaughter, Sydney Smith; several nephews and a niece.

Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 in the funeral home officiated by Pastor David Demarest.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
