HINDMAN, Joan Wilma Knellinger, 76, of Bellaire, Ohio formerly of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Saturday January 7, 2012 at Valley Hospice South, Liza's Place. She was born in Bridgeport on May 30, 1935, a daughter of the late Christian and Betty ross Scatterday Knellinger. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Upper Ohio Valley Children and Family Services. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband John Roger Hindman; a sister Patty Ann Knellinger; a step-sister Patty Delbrook; stepfather Emerald Delbrook; a brother Forest "Dick" Knellinger; and two grandsons: Bryan and Jermaine Hindman. Joan is survived by six children: sons: John Hindman (Jackie) of Morgantown, W.Va., Jerry Hindman (Margaret) of Wheeling, W.Va., David Hindman of Warwood, W.Va., daughters: Inez Steele (Jim) of Bellaire, Cathy Hindman Peterson (Joseph) of Canonsburg, PA., Betty Hindman (James Webb) of Triadelphia, W.Va. grandchildren: Jim & Joe Steele, Sonya Peterson, Ryan, Jessica, Alicia Hindman, Chivas, Ebony, Chakara, Alexus, James Webb, Jennifer Hindman; three great-grandchildren; Isaiah and Isaac Hicks, Ramyah Askerneese. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. on January 11, 2012.
