Joan Lee Russell 80 of Bridgeport passed away Sunday May 2, 2021 at her home. She was born November 1, 1940 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Laurent) Morgan. She was a retired School Teacher for Bridgeport High School, and a member of the State Retired Teachers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Norman "Bud" Russell in 2009, and a brother Thomas Morgan in 2021. Joan is survived by her son Patrick Russell of Bridgeport, sisters Pat (Allan) Ketzell of Brookside, and Shirley Fiscus of St. Clairsville, also two nephews, one niece, and one great niece. According to Joan's wishes private visitation will be held by the family with Rev. James Hoff officiating at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside and private interment will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
