Joan L. (Hale) Skidmore, 83, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away November 8, 2016 at Park Health. She was born May 23, 1933, a daughter of the late Thomas and Loretta (Davis) Sutton. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, retired nursing assistant, employee at East Ohio Regional Hospital and Bridgeport Library. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Hale; and grandchildren, Abigail Gibson, and Jordan Billingsley. Joan is survived by her children; Cindi Blodgett of Blaine, OH, Penny (Jody) Thoburn of Lansing, OH, Becky Billingsley, of Mooresville, N.C., Jennifer (Ernie) Staton of Mooresville, N.C., and Francie Skidmore, of Ravena, OH; daughter-in-law Tara Hale of Bellaire, OH; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday, November 11, 2016 from 4-8p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH 43912 where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11a.m. with Reverend Kenn Sickle officiating. Interment at convenience of the family.
