Joan L. (Yaskovic) Schultz, 83 of Martins Ferry passed away peacefully at the East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.  She was born April 18, 1940, in Yonkers, New York, the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Toth) Yaskovic.

Joan worked at the Ross Department Store and retired from Water Gate Market in Emeryville, CA, she was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Martins Ferry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Michael V. Schultz in 2006, son; Edward K. Kidd, daughters; Margaret Lowell, Joan Kidd, and Vicki Lynn White and four brothers and one sister.

Joan was a woman of many talents and interest, she loved all animals especially dogs, she was an avid seamstress and enjoyed knitting, however, spending time with her family was the most important thing to her.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Michael Schultz, with whom she lived of Martins Ferry, and James D. Kidd of AZ and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren completed her family.

In keeping with Joan's wishes all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  She will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery next to her husband at a later date.
