Joann L. (Yeager) Williams, 78, of Martins Ferry, OH formerly of Yorkville died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital of Martins Ferry. She was born Nov. 28, 1934 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Dewey and Mable E. (Brown) Yeager. She was retired from the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Joann was a member and active volunteer of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry. She was also a volunteer for many years at St. Lucy's Catholic Church Fish Fries. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kenny Williams and her sister, Jean Homer. Surviving are her three sons; Thomas A. Williams of Yorkville, Kenneth M. (Michelle) Williams and Daniel S. Williams both of Martins Ferry and a daughter Janet L. (Dan, special friend) Williams Nolan of Columbus, OH, a brother Bill Yeager of TN, ten grandchildren; John A., Michael W. and Matthew S. Nolan, Anna Jo, Eric T. and Cassie M. Williams, Terry L., Joseph G., Christine M. and Paul A. Herring and 19 great grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held, Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 10:30 am with Rev. Larry W. Lewis officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 306 Locust St., Martins Ferry, OH.
