Jody Eileen Hunter 76, of Dayton, formerly of Steubenville, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, in Bethany Lutheran Village Nursing Center, Centerville. She was born on May 4, 1949, in Martins Ferry, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Marie (Boyd) Fields. She retired from East Ohio Regional Hospital after many years of service, loved traveling, Hallmark Christmas Movies, Coca Cola, chocolate, the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with family and friends.

Jody is survived by her daughter, Samantha (Christopher) Deaton, and a grandson, Lincoln Deaton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phillip Edwin Hunter; and two brothers, Lawrence and Edward Fields.

Friends may call Friday from 11 am to 1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 pm in the funeral home with Reverend James Hoff officiating.  Burial will follow in Weeks Cemetery.
