SPEARS, Joseph "Joe", 69, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Monday February 13, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born in Dillonvale on June 1, 1942, a son of the late Frank Sr. and Ida Plechaty Spears. He was a retired employee of Consolidated Coal, Bailey Mine; a proud U.S. Vietnam Veteran, who enjoyed gardening, fishing, golfing and especially family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Frank, Arthur, Charles and James Spears; and a sister Wilma Spears. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Joyce Ann Snyder Spears; a daughter Jolynn Peshek and her husband David; a brother Stephen Spears; two grandchildren: David Joel Peshek and Joclyn Jean Peshek, all of Dillonvale; and his special friend Buddy. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, where services will be held Friday February 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Hoff, officiating. Military graveside honors will be provided by Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529 at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
