John Joseph Blatnik, 60, of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Liza's Place.  He was born in Wheeling on Monday, November 4, 1957 a son of the late Joseph and Marline (Malone) Blatnik.  John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  In the 1970's through the 1990's he was a DJ in the area and went by the name Johnny Metro.  John was employed by Perkins Restaurant.

He is survived by his sister, Maureen (Edward) Rouse of Bridgeport; 2 nieces, Connie (Scott) Grahm of West Liberty and Teresa Rouse of Bridgeport and a nephew, Edward Rouse also of Bridgeport; a great nephew, Cody (Andrea) Grahm and 2 great nieces, Madison Grahm and Alana Sommers.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday at 10 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Ave. Bridgeport with Father John Mucha officiating.  Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.
