Obituary

Rev. John P. Brandenburg, Jr, 72, of Bridgeport, OH, died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born February 5, 1946 in Louisville, KY a son of the late John P. and Betty (Higgins) Brandenburg.
John was the priest at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Bellaire, OH
and Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church of Martins Ferry. He was a valued servant of the Daily Bread Center and Faith in Action Care Givers both of Martins Ferry. John was a member of the Martins Ferry and Bellaire Ministerial Assoc.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James Brandenburg.
Surviving are his wife, Marian K. (Hanke) Brandenburg, his son, Scott (Kasey) Brandenburg of Harrison, OH, siblings, Alice (John) Dowdell of Tiltonsville, OH and Susan (Mike) Dowdell and Becky Brandenburg both of Martins Ferry and George Brandenburg of Weirton, WV and his grandsons, Andy and Ethan.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 12 noon at St. John's Lutheran Church, 40 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry with Bishops Thomas E. Breidenthal and Kenneth Price officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
