"Together Again"John "Jack" W. Burke, 84, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed Friday November 21, 2014 at Belmont Manor, St. Clairsville, OH. After suffering a "Broken Heart" the angels took Jack to his eternal home to be reunited with his best friend, love of his life, his wife of 56 years, Rosemarie, who preceded him by three months. He was born in Wheeling, WV on May 19, 1930 a son of the late Richard Vincent Burke and Elizabeth Green Burke. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rosemarie Pogan Nemeth Burke on August 6, 2014 and brothers: Walter, Tom, and Bob Burke. Jack was a retired employee of Ohio Bell and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Jack is survived by a son Rick Burke of Beaver PA., daughters: Jackie (George) Petersen of Colerain, Terri (Pat) Crawford of Grove City, Ohio; brothers: Richard "Buck" Burke, Jerry Burke, sisters: Maryann (Jim) Powell, Dorothy Winiesdorfer, Eleanor (Bud) O"Toole, all of Wheeling; grandchildren: Aaron & Rebecca Petersen of Colerain; Alycia & Nathan Crawford of Grove City, Ohio; many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, where vigil service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday December 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolfhurst with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain.
