JOHN FILLON, 81, of St. Clairsville, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born July 14, 1926 in Connersville, Ohio, the son of the late Chris and Helen (Matusek) Fillon. John was a retired track foreman with Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in St. Clairsville and the St. Clairsville Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary Fillon in March, 2008; two sisters Margaret Jakubic and Amelia (Millie) Riggle. John is survived by a daughter Beth Ann Fairbanks and her husband William of St. Clairsville; a brother James Fillon and his wife Yvonne of Fairpoint; two sisters Jeannette Kelley of Adena and Mary Ann Markoski and her husband Fel of Sheffield Lake, OH; several nieces and nephews as well as two little schnauzers Little Bear and Buttons Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where Vigil services will be held at 4 pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 12 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church in St. Clairsville with Father Anthony Batt as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, OH.
