John G. Geis, Jr., 81, of Broadway St., Martins Ferry, OH died Tue., Jan. 25, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Nov. 2, 1923 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late John J. and Alice (Simcox) Geis. He was retired from the Martins Ferry Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. John was a life member of the Martins Ferry Elks, a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in the European theater, and a Christian. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Marjorie Cika. Surviving are a brother Russell H. Geis and his wife Dorothy of Martins Ferry, three nephews and two nieces, five great nieces, five great great nephews, and one great great niece. Friends will be received Thurs. 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Fri., Jan. 28, 2005 at 1:00 PM with Minister Rod Kasler officiating. Entombment follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
