John J. Goletz, 72, of Blaine, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 in The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.  He was born on June 14, 1946 in Maynard a son of the late John and Anna (Nameth) Goletz.  John was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.  He was also a former manager of Amerilube Express in St. Clairsville.  He was Methodist by faith.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Jurovcik) Goletz.

He is survived by his children, Melissa (Jeff) Kurner of Bridgeport, Melinda (Roy Apostolic) Goletz of Adena, Dave (Maxine) Jurovcik of Belmont, Michelle (Eric) Sheets of Cadiz and Carrie Jurovcik of Blaine; 2 brothers, Albert (Addie) Goletz and Frank (Patty) Goletz; a sister, Ksavera (Bob) Bassa; 13 grandchildren, 6 nieces and nephews; 2 aunts, Mary (Nameth) Ronevich and Helen (Nameth) Angel and an uncle, Michael (Phyllis) Nameth.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2-7 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport.  A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 7 pm in the funeral home with Reverend James Hoff officiating.  A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
