HARDY, John Ronald, 82, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Friday September 3, 2010 at Solon, Ohio. He was born in Dillonvale on March 16, 1928, a son of the late John and Josephine Zerla Hardy. John was a retired employee of the Cardinal Power Plant; a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII; a member of the Dillonvale American Legion McCook Post #529, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1572, and a former member of the Dillonvale Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Norma D. Franks Hardy, and a son John Hardy Jr. John is survived by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Wilson of Parma, Ohio; a sister Lila McGlumphy of Dillonvale; four grandchildren: Jim, Kim, Kelly and Lisa and great-grandsons Noah and A.J. Friends will be received Wednesday September 8, 2010 at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Michael Lenno, officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, where Military graveside honors will be provided by the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529.
