John Klika John Klika, 77, of N. Eighth St., Martins Ferry, OH died Fri., Jan. 31, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Dec. 4, 1925 in Dillonvale a son of the late Andy J. and Anna D. (Wasko) Klika. He was retired from the Yorkville plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, a member of the Trinity Assembly of God, Martins Ferry, and a US Navy veteran WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Freda May (Ward) Ackerman Klika, and a brother Joseph Klika. Surviving are four sons Forrest R. "Butch" (Mary Kay) Ackerman, Charles "Randy" (Donna) Ackerman, Rick L. (Sharon) Ackerman, and Terry R. (Lori) Ackerman all of Martins Ferry, two daughters Peggy (Terry) Hoffman and Sandra J. Klika all of Martins Ferry, a brother Andy Klika, Jr. of Connersville, OH, three sisters Anna G. Turos of Hilliard, OH, Eleanor Pflugh of Connersville, and Elizabeth Klika of Pleasant Grove, thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Friends will be received Mon. 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Tues. 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM with Pastor Roland Boggs officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove with full military graveside honors by the Belmont County Council of the V.F. W.
