John R. Morelli, 75, of Yorkville, OH died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at his home. He was born Jan. 11. 1940 in Aliquippa, PA a son of the late John and Angela (Gilbert) Morelli. He was a retired Police Chief of Tiltonsville, OH. He attended the First Christian Church, Martins Ferry, and was a member of F.O.P. Lodge #97, Wintersville, OH, Lifetime NRA member, Sons of Italy, Bellaire, OH and the Yorkville Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife Patricia A. (Pearl) Morelli, children; Korrene Prince of Tiltonsville, Alex (MaryJo) Grendel of Dillonvale, OH, Angela Barckhoff of Karns City, PA, Julie (Doug) DelVecchio of Yorkville, John (Fiancé Crystal Canter) Morelli, Jr., of Yorkville and Marie Elaina (Bruce) Harris of Tiltonsville, sisters; Marie (James) Wallace and Michelle (Stephen) Batchelor all of Aliquippa, PA, fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three loving nephews and two loving nieces Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Jim Monogioudis officiating.
