OLSZESKI, John N. "Yana" 89, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Sunday October 3, 2010 at home. John was born in Dillonvale on July 21, 1921, a son of the late Frank and Jessie Borkoski Olszeski. John was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, present Treasurer of A.A.R.P. Chapter 3773 of Dillonvale; a member of Dillonvale Senior Citizens; a retired Teacher with Indian Creek School District and a retiree of Pennsylvania Railroad; Dillonvale American Legion McCook Post #529; Dillonvale Senior Nutrition Center; former president and member of Dillonvale Council, and a U.S. Marine Veteran of WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Theresa Peltz, a brother Charles Olszeski and an infant brother Felix Olszeski. John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Wanda Jaworski Olszeski; a daughter, Karen (Larry) Michalo of Mt. Pleasant; three sons: John (Margiann) Olszeski of Hagerstown, MD, Frank Olszeski and Charles Olszeski, both of Dillonvale; a sister, Frances Hitchcock, of Gibsonia, PA., six grandchildren: Jason Olszeski, Brian Michalo, Ashley (Olszeski) Lippenholz, Stephanie Willard, Amanda Olszeski and Katlyn Olszeski; and a great granddaughter, Grace Anne Lippenholz. Friends will be received Thursday 3-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday October 8, 2010 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor John C. Kolesar, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Military graveside honors provided by Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post 529.
